Who we are

This policy explains how romir biz Inc. (“romir biz”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through romir.ca and when you contact us. We are a federal corporation with our registered office at 52 Hawkridge Trail, Brampton, ON L6P 2T4, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian and Ontario law.

What we collect

• Information you give us. If you email or call us, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message.
• Technical information. When you visit romir.ca, our hosting provider processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested and the time of the request, in order to deliver and secure the website.
• Your display preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site can remember it. It is not sent to us.

This website does not use advertising cookies or advertising trackers, and it has no account, payment or sign-up forms.

Why we collect it

We collect and use personal information to respond to your enquiries, to run and secure this website, to keep business records and to meet legal obligations. We identify these purposes at or before the time we collect the information, and we limit collection to what is needed for them.

Consent

We collect, use and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where PIPEDA allows or requires otherwise. By contacting us you consent to our using the information you send for the purposes above. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by writing to info@romir.ca.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting and email delivery, and only as needed for them to provide those services. We also disclose information where the law requires it. Our service providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, and information held in another country may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and other authorities there under that country’s laws.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then destroy it securely or make it anonymous.

Safeguards

We protect personal information with safeguards suited to its sensitivity, including access controls and encrypted connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or payment card details by email.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, ask to see it, ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete, and challenge our compliance with this policy. Write to info@romir.ca. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days, or tell you why we need more time.

Complaints

If we have not resolved a concern to your satisfaction, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
